When Tech Launch Arizona (TLA) began in 2012, the unit laid out a roadmap that would determine its direction and serve to measure success.
In pursuit of those goals, TLA has continued to integrate the functions of technology transfer, commercialization networks and Tech Parks Arizona. The office extended its work, increasing its engagement both internally at the University of Arizona and externally with our connected ecosystem. This yielded more inventions, invention reports and startups. The team is delivering on its original vision and mission.
VISION
By 2020, the UA through TLA will become a recognized national resource for its role in commercializing UA-created knowledge, bringing the university’s inventions to the public for economic and social benefit.
MISSION
TLA will build upon the synergies among the faculty, administration, students and alumni of the UA, its tech parks, and the technology and business community to significantly enhance the impact of UA research, intellectual property and technological innovation.
